As the years go by, the traditional throwing of the bouquet and garter has been getting less and less popular. Will it make or break your wedding? Of course not. Is it something you want? If yes, just do it the traditional way and check out great song suggestions for it below! If no, below are other options for the garter and bouquet toss.
Other Options For The Garter & Bouquet Toss:
1. Only Throw The Bouquet
Instead of doing the whole show, you only invite the single ladies onto the dance floor and only throw the bouquet.
2. Anniversary Dance
For this option, you tell your entertainment to ask all of the married couples (married couples only) onto the dance floor for a slow dance. Then have them play a song like "Through The Years" by Kenny Rogers and have the MC start calling off couples by how many years they have been married. For example, "if you have been married for 10 years or less, please step to the side of the dance floor" (wait about 15 to 20 seconds) "If you have been married for 15 years or less, please step to the side of the dance floor", and so on. The newly married couple stays out on the floor the entire time. Whichever couple has been married the longest, the MC can ask them a question like "what are some words of advice for staying married for 60 years?". After all of that, you would give that longest married couple the bouquet or you can make up a little gift set for them!
